Start with the right billing model

The official pricing table lists Basic Regular Droplets at monthly caps from $4 to $96 across the seven Regular configurations above. These bundled plans are billed per second with a 60-second or $0.01 minimum, whichever is higher. Actual charges depend on usage. A $6 cap is not a $6 annual offer or evidence of a required $6 deposit.

For a continuously running instance, $6 × 12 gives a $72 base-cost planning scenario at an unchanged rate. It is not a price guarantee and excludes unentered extras. The calculator presets keep future prices unknown until you choose an assumption.

Credit is not a lower recurring price

Trial credit may offset eligible usage under separate conditions. It is not permanent free hosting, cash back or evidence that future invoices disappear. We do not subtract an unverified credit from long-term cost comparisons.

Bandwidth, backups and other extra costs

The listed transfer allowance is not an unlimited-bandwidth claim. Review excess usage, backups, additional services and applicable taxes. Keep unused resources and the provider’s billing rules in view; a budgeting tool cannot audit your account.

Keep the comparison fair

CPU model, shared resources, region and billing flexibility matter alongside RAM. The $12 plan here has one vCPU; it is not the different two-vCPU Basic Regular option. These numbers are not a speed or uptime ranking.
