VPS cost calculator

Know the commitment before checkout. Compare full billing-period payments with the cost allocated to 12 or 36 months. Enter amounts for the whole term, not the advertised monthly equivalent.

The initial numbers below are an illustrative billing scenario, not a merchant offer.

Leave unknown prices blank. For a planning assumption, enter your assumed price and remember that it is not a provider guarantee.

Extras & offer validity

0 explicitly excludes that cost; a blank means unknown. Add taxes, licenses and backup costs where applicable. Expiry uses your device’s current local date.

Why the two totals differ

Imagine a 24-month introductory term costing $120, followed by a 24-month renewal costing $240. To cover 36 months, you buy both terms and pay $360. The cost allocated to those 36 months is $120 plus half of the renewal: $240. The remaining prepaid months are not assumed refundable.

Annual vs monthly: compare the same period

As a hypothetical example, a $24 first year followed by $36 yearly renewals costs $96 over 36 months. A $3 monthly plan held at the same rate costs $108. Both cover the same period, but the annual plan requires larger payments upfront. This assumes matching resources, no extras and unchanged renewal rates; it is not a merchant offer or a claim that annual billing is always cheaper.

Where to enter extra fees

Add monthly IPv4, backup or Windows license charges to “Extra cost per month” when their billing matches that field. Use “One-time fee” for setup charges. For an add-on billed in a different prepaid term, calculate that payment separately rather than treating a monthly average as its cash bill. Leave unverified charges blank; 0 means you deliberately excluded them.

What the calculation includes

Full first-term and renewal payments, enough renewal periods to cover your horizon, monthly extras for the selected months and one setup fee. It does not assume a refund for unused months, a future coupon or a tax exemption. Each plan keeps its preset currency (USD, CNY or EUR), including when you edit its amounts. Custom scenarios start in USD, or keep the previously selected preset currency. No currency conversion or cross-currency price ranking is performed.

The published-price presets keep unverified renewal amounts blank. Where a provider advertises same-price renewal, the preset includes that amount with its source caveat. Changing a number creates your own scenario; it does not update the underlying listing.
