How we verify VPS prices

Our source, date, product-matching and evidence standards for current and historical VPS offers. Price verification is not hands-on testing.

Match the offer, not just the headline

We record the provider, exact plan, CPU, memory, storage, transfer, billing period, original currency and advertised price. Region, renewal, extras and eligibility stay unknown where the source does not establish them.

Three different kinds of evidence

Official advertised price
The provider’s public page supports the listed figure and conditions. It does not prove live inventory or the tax-inclusive checkout total.
Official checkout preview
3 current listings have a dated preview of the matching plan and billing term. We did not place an order or pay. A preview does not guarantee inventory, final taxes or future renewal pricing.
Hands-on tested
A dated test with a documented setup and method. No current listing in this edition carries this label.

Dates describe a check

“Checked” identifies the date the evidence was reviewed, not a promise of real-time pricing. We do not refresh dates just because a page was rebuilt. Dynamic prices must be checked again before publication.

Unknown is useful information

Unknown renewal costs, fees or stock are not treated as zero. Conflicting source values are called out. We never infer a coupon, discount percentage or performance result from a marketing headline.

Historical offers stay historical

The 2025 archive records explicitly dated products and availability observations. A historical listing is not a current checkout option. Different storage or transfer allowances prevent a same-product discount comparison.
